How much does it cost?
The cost of your new roof depends on the
materials chosen and the size and scope of your project. Generally,
the costs
of
our
products start at the amount you would expect to pay
for a high-end asphalt or cedar roof. Your initial
outlay for your new EcoWise™ roof will be more than if
you were just replacing your asphalt roof with the same material.
But since our products last much longer, you will be spending
much less over time.
How long will it take?
Again, time estimates
vary widely due to the unique nature of your roofing project.
As an example, a 3000 square foot roof
will commonly take two days for tear-off and preparation and
5-7 days to install. Of course, weather is always an unknown
factor. You can be assured, however, that we will never sacrifice
quality in order to speed through a project.
Is EcoWise Inc. insured?
Absolutely! We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Did you know
that if an uninsured worker gets hurt on your house
he can sue you? Don’t ever let anyone work on your property
without verifying their insurance. Make sure you get a copy of
their Certificate of Insurance and call to verify current coverage.
What is your warranty?
The products we install
are covered by manufacturers’ warranties,
most of which are 40-75 years. EcoWise Inc. warranties its labor
for five years.
What about my landscaping?
Although we make
every effort to protect your plantings, occasional damage can
occur. If you have expensive landscaping, you should
try to protect your investment. During demolition of your old
roof, depending on its size and materials, up to several tons
of materials will be removed. If possible, have your most-prized
plantings stored or replanted elsewhere. In some cases, we can
build temporary structures over certain plants. Keep in mind,
however, that these structures can create a fall hazard for the
workers, so their use is limited. Arbors, pergolas, handrails
and the like should be removed if possible for the duration of
your project.
What about interior damage?
Unfortunately, some interior damage is always possible.
Nail pops in your drywall may randomly occur if your drywall was
not secured with adhesive. Wall hangings are best removed,
since they can fall due to roof work. We cannot be held responsible
for this type of damage.
Will I have to replace my gutters?
It is practically impossible to prevent gutter damage when
reroofing. Also, the fascia area behind your gutters is the
most common area to anchor a pump-jack scaffold or tube scaffold,
if required by OSHA. Thus, you might want to add the cost of
new gutters to your budget. You can take advantage of this
opportunity to enhance your curb appeal by considering different
colors and materials and placement of downspouts. |
