Do You Have a Cedar Roof?
We specialize in replacing
cedar roofs with green,
earth-friendly alternatives. Cedar roofs, whether shake or shingle,
average a 15-18 year lifespan in our area. A typical cedar reroof
project results in 70-80 yards of refuse going to a landfill. 80
yards! That’s 538 30-gallon garbage cans!
See the math.
When we tear off a cedar roof, we recycle 100% of the metals and
shred your old shingles into mulch. It can be used for residential
landscaping or groundcover for hiking or horse trails. So your
reroof project will only be producing 5-10 yards of refuse for
the landfill. (Unfortunately, tar paper and asphalt felt are not
yet recyclable.)
Most of our composite and metal roofs carry 50-year warranties.
If we assume, conservatively, that your roof lasts only the minimum
of 50 years, over the lifespan of your EcoWise™ roof, you
will be preventing 310 yards of landfill refuse. That’s over
2000 garbage cans!
See the math.
Is there any other single action you could take that would have
such a positive impact on our environment?
